The Future’s Open Golf Tournament

The Restaurant Association of Maryland Education Foundation is pleased to announce its 10th Annual “The Future’s Open” golf tournament. It will be held on Tuesday, June 16, 2009, at PB Dye Golf Club in Ijamsville, MD.
The day will feature contests and fantastic prizes, including an automobile, cash and vacations. A dinner will give golfers an opportunity to network with leaders from all segments of the hospitality industry.

The Future’s Open raises funds for ProStart, the School-to-Career program of the Restaurant Association of Maryland Education Foundation. Through ProStart, RAMEF works with over 3000 students in 80 Maryland high schools, as well as college students, teachers, guidance counselors and parents to promote hospitality as a career choice. Students completing the ProStart program are qualified to enter the workforce in positions that are above entry level and are on a fast track to management careers. ProStart is endorsed by the Maryland State Department of Education and also prepares students for post secondary education at culinary schools and hospitality management programs. Last year RAMEF awarded over $32,000 in scholarships to students, teachers and industry professionals.
